Dreaming Dragons began life in Australia in 2012 when a lovely lady called Glynnis began to create and sell dragons on a Facebook page. 3 years later, after building up a huge fan base and creating hundreds of beautiful sculptures and dragon fob pendants called Timekeeper Dragons, Glynnis wanted to change direction and join forces with her daughter at Pennybright Studios, and began looking for somebody to take the reins of Dreaming Dragons.

I, Dawn (hello!), at the time had been running a polymer clay page called Fimotastique in the UK for 5 years, had discovered I loved making dragons (it's a family thing, bunch of fantasy geeks that we are) and had completely fallen in love with many many other artist's dragon makes including the Dreaming Dragons Timekeeper fobs! When I saw that Glynnis was looking for a clay artist to run Dreaming Dragons I just HAD to ask... even though I was sure she wouldn't want somebody who already had a page...

Guess what... she did!

I took over the page in May 2015 and after some great advice on how to carry on Glynnis's designs I slowly started to make the page my own, loving every minute of dragon making! 10 months later and it's getting busier every day, with more designs every month, different styles of Timekeepers, more fantasy makes, a website and this Etsy shop.

My whole house is now bustling with dragons, wizards, witches, mermaids and fairies. My husband is slowly covering the walls with his gorgeous fantasy themed cross stitch, my daughters are always reading 'How to Train your Dragon', 'The Hobbit', 'Wee Free Men', or doodling fairy toadstool houses, or watching Harry Potter films for the 12th time....and... well, we don't need to talk about how many craft supplies I've acquired for future projects.... ;)
